Excellent food and friendly staff. Nice beer selection. Lighting was a bit dim for my taste though. I ordered the Rainbow Roll followed by the Tempura Sea Bass which was an off menu special. The rainbow roll includes a variety of raw fish which was fresh and tasty. The vegetables in the roll were fresh and crunchy. The tempura sea bass was a generous portion, lightly breaded and partially covered by some kind of sweet glaze. The glaze was tasty but not required as the sea bass was light and flakey and flavorful. I finished it without dipping into the extra glaze. I dined at the bar and the bartender new the menu well and could make recommendations. She introduced herself and asked and remembered my name. I was delighted to find they carried Chimay Blue, one of my favorite beers but not widely available. They should turn up the lights a bit and make the place more cheerful and inviting but still a five star meal.

I normally only come here for Sunday brunch when I'm in town. It's decent food with an interesting selection, but the food tends to be lukewarm and the selection of food hardly ever changes. The omelettes are pretty good though!

I ordered the General Tso's chicken. It was all white meat chicken which was good, and the texture and everything was great, but the sauce was WAY too sweet.

BEST SUSHI in Johnson City. Rolls are always good. Great Atmosphere. Locally owned. Good live music on weekends and sometimes on week nights. They also have good drink specials, that is including bottles of wine being a percentage off some nights. Give this place a shot. It's quite good. I highly doubt you will be disappointed!

Visited 6-9-15. Sushi was great. It was fresh and well prepared. I also had the General Tso chicken. It was a very different take on the dish but it was good. I agree with other reviews that the lighting could be a little better. Service was excellent. My biggest complaint is that the sushi menu had no description of the dishes so I was forced to have the waitress run through them with me before making a decision. She was ready and very knowledgeable of each roll so it made that process a little less annoying. Overall, it was a very good experience. I plan to return soon

Cafe One 11 is a pleasant surprise. It's located in a mall and look like a cocktail lounge from the exterior, but once you step inside, you have been catapulted into a beautiful, atmospheric Asian restaurant. Everything was perfect. Food: 4 stars Ambiance: 4..5 stars Service: 4 stars

When we have guests from out of town, we love to take them here for Sunday brunch. It's amazing. Everything from fresh sushi to biscuits & gravy and Red Velvet Cake! Decent for dinner, very good for drinks, but brunch is really their flagship.

Excellent food and atmosphere, if a bit pricey. I would have given it four stars, but a friend of mine and I both got a very severe case of food poisoning from here many years ago. We had the sushi sampler platter and I believe it was from the salmon sashimi, which tasted a bit off. Now, I understand mistakes can happen, the restaurant was apologetic when I called them and told them about this, and I have since gone back. I am still skeptical of the sushi, but the other food is quite well done, and their bartenders are better at classic cocktails than a lot of other places in Johnson City.

This was not my first time here but it is my first review for Cafe one 11. I come to Johnson City on business several times a year and this is my favorite restaurant. The sushi is exceptional for a town in Tennessee and the seared tuna was as good as I've had in much bigger cities at much higher cost. I just wish they'd get blue cheese stuffed olives for my martini!

In JC on business. Sat at the bar. Great martini selections and great sushi. Bartender was very nice and conversational. Also had the sprig rolls. Pretty tasty. This place is in an old strip mall. Don't let the location fool you. It's great!

This is probably the most random brunch experience I've ever had. However, it was $20 for bottomless mimosas and all the breakfast, Asian, sushi and seafood I could eat, so I would say I'm a fan. The mimosas are great - made with a drier champagne which I like as opposed to the super sugary kinds. I don't even know how many I had, because I wasn't driving and probably was thinking "it's just juice!!" The buffet is split up into a few sections - a sushi/seafood section with several types of sushi, crab legs, shrimp, and salmon, a desserts section, a salads and vegetables/fruit section, a traditional breakfast items section, and a section of asian options. I had a few types of the sushi and crab legs. I've had better in both categories, but for the price I wasn't too bugged. I also sampled some of the stir-fry asian options - again, not totally compelling but the price is right. More than anything, I was just confused and eating whatever looked good to me, so having biscuits and gravy, bacon, ginger soy shrimp and vegetables, spring rolls, as well as pineapple and honeydew was a-okay. I wholly recommend the brunch if you love to drink mimosas, because you can have them to your heart's content as well as eat so many random foods you won't know what hit you - or you could play it safe and stick to one section. Everything was freshly prepared and overall pretty good, but I wouldn't pay the price without the booze.

It can be a nice starter bar for young professionals. The food and atmosphere are nice. It's worth a peek!

The sushi is awesome as is the seared tuna! I love the martini list and it's a great place to go for drinks and dinner. The restaurant is cozy chic with dimmed lighting and a long bar. I definitely recommend it for a date or girls night out.

Probably the best and freshest sushi in the Tri-Cities. Tight rolls, clean cuts, and fresh fish. That's my criteria for rolls. The stir-fry dishes are good. My wife tends to eat them more often than I do, she has never had a complaint. The Sunday brunch is... eclectic. American traditional breakfast dishes and Asian lunch dishes. They've started charging $1 for mimosa's which is expensive (actually it's quite cheap), but when they were free it was better.

the brunch is excellent and great value. how can too many choices be a bad thing? desserts appear to be the only thing not made on premises and the only weak spot. service is excellent. atmosphere is friendly. decorating makes you forget you're in east tennessee (which btw is a very nice place) and puts you in an east coast city without the rude, loud patrons. menu is somewhat limited but i've had almost everything on it and all is good. especially like the calamari and green thai curry. if you're looking to go out somewhere after dinner, our waitress made suggestions on places with live music and even gave directions. one of my 2 favorite places in JC.
